Reopening of Hockey Announcement
Submitted By webmaster on Wednesday, February 10, 2021
The GLHA is aware of this week’s announcement from Premier Doug Ford, regarding the gradual re-opening across the province.  We understand that as of Tuesday, February 16, the stay-at-home order will be lifted for the Middlesex-London Health Unit (MLHU) area and much of the rest of the province.

At that time, each health unit jurisdiction will then enter into its colour-coded category based on several factors, including the weekly incidence rate of COVID per 100,000 people for the area.  We are hopeful that our jurisdiction will enter a colour zone that will allow our kids back on the ice, but there remain other unknowns that may affect our next steps, including whether the rinks will open, whether MLHU will have additional requirements, etc.  We are hopeful, and planning for a return to the rink, but request your patience as we wait to see how the next week unfolds.
