MD Championships
How to Qualify for the 2022 ALLIANCE Hockey MD Championships, April 7-10


U9
-
All twenty-two U9 teams will qualify for the MD Championships. -Teams will be divided into three, tiered divisions based on League play. -Regular season ends March 29, 2022.*If you have a U9 MD team that is not planning to participate in the MD Championships, please contact Tyler Tolton as soon as possible.

  • U10

-All eight U10 teams will qualify for the MD Championships. 
-The regular season ends March 6, 2022. 

East/Central Division Playoffs, March 7-29:
-The 4 E/C teams will participate in a round robin playoff (6 games) until March 29th.

West Division Playoffs, March 7-29:
-The 4 West teams will participate in a round robin playoff (6 games) until March 29th

  • U11, U12, U13, U14, U15

-All teams in the respective divisions will play a total of 12 Playoff games until March 29th.


East/Central Division Playoffs, January 31 - March 29, 2022:
-Tier 1:Top Two teams advance to the Tier 1 division of the MD Championships.
-Tier 2:Top Two teams advance to the Tier 2 division of the MD Championships.

West Division Playoffs, January 31 - March 29, 2022:
-Top Two teams advance to the Tier 1 division of the MD Championships.
-Third and fourth place teams advance to the Tier 2 division of the MD Championships.


U16

The regular season ends March 6, 2022. 

-The 9 E/C teams will then be split into two Tiers (Tier 1=4 teams, Tier 2=5 teams). The tiers will participate in Playoffs (Tier 1 = 6 games, Tier 2 = 4 games) until March 29th.

Top two Tier 1 E/C teams will advance to the MD Championships.

Top three Tier 2 E/C teams will advance to the MD Championships.

The 3 West teams will then participate in Playoffs (6 games) until March 29th.

Top two teams will advance to the Tier 1 MD Championships.
-
Third place team will advance to the Tier 2 MD Championships

NOTE: Due to not being able to complete the first half of the season, all divisions will use the Playoffs to determine which teams advance to the MD Championships and the 7.0 Tie Breaker will be used where necessary.
