Update
GLHA Community,
As we are sure everyone is already aware, the latest
provincial announcement regarding the move to Step Two of the Roadmap to
Reopen has put a pause on hockey until at least Thursday, January 27. While GLHA is disappointed, we recognize this
drastic measure is necessary to curb the rate of COVID transmission and protect
our vital and vulnerable healthcare sector.
We ask that each and every individual who is a part of our GLHA community use the next 21 days to closely observe all public health measures. In addition, we encourage each and every one of you to get out and get immunized; whether it is your booster dose or the first then second dose for your children, immunization remains an important tool to prevent infection or when COVID is acquired, to minimize severe illness and hospitalizations. We must use all the tools at our disposal to do what we can to keep COVID at bay. Immunization will remain an important component of the GLHA’s Return to Play plans when our kids return to the ice.
